These custom class 9.8 hex flange bolts were manufactured for our automotive customer in the USA. M6-1.00 X 18MM thread was rolled and head dimensions were made to DIN 6921 specifications. Parts were heat treated to 28-37 HRC core hardness per ISO 898-1 Class 9.8. Level 3 PPAP and full certs were provided with the parts per customer requirements.

These custom long automotive hex flange bolts were manufactured for our customer to Grade 10.9 specifications with black zinc finish. 100MM of M13-1.75MM thread was rolled behind a 84MM unthreaded shoulder. The flange diameter was set to 50MM and the hex above to 19MM across the flats. Black zinc finish is good for corrosion resistance but is always cosmetically tricky due to the imperfections you get on the surface from the bake process, as well as the tumbling of large parts during packaging and transport.

These custom grade 8 wheel bolts were manufactured for our automotive OEM customer using SAE J429 material with zinc yellow finish with post plating bake. An 82 degree countersunk feature was incorporated into the head with cold forging with 1/2-13 UNC 2B full thread below measuring 1.25″ in length.

We had slightly over 100,000 pieces of these serrated custom hex flange bolts manufactured for our construction customer to their drawing specifications and tolerances. They were manufactured per SAE J429 Grade 5 requirements with Zinc Clear finish per ASTM B633. Flange OD was set to .68″ and across the flats dimension to .489-.500″. The screws were fully threaded with 5/16-18 2a thread at 2-1/2″ in length. Full certs were provided including 3rd party testing for proof load, hardness, and chemical composition requirements.

These custom button flange socket cap screws were produced using grade 2 steel material with black oxide finish and nylon patch thread locking feature.  Full 8-32 thread was incorporated and the flange diameter was set at .357″ +/-.005″.  Head height including the flange was to be at .087″ +/-.005″ and a 3/32 socket drive was cold headed during the production process.  The blue nylon patch was applied over 180 degrees of the covered threaded section.

These are custom hex flange screws we supplied to our automotive customer in grade 10.9.  The size and thread pitch is relatively common in the marketplace but the 10.9 class is a tricky find.  With the large volume required we had the parts domestically produced with black phosphate finish.  Measuring M12 X 1.75 X 30MM the hex flange head measured 23-25MM in flange diameter and 14.5-15.0MM across the flats.  Head height was set to 12MM +/-1MM, inclusive of the flange.  Full certs were available to the customer upon request.

We supplied our industrial design customer these custom metric flange bolts in two different sizes, M12-1.75 X 35MM and M12 -1.75 X 45MM.  Small batch of 100 pieces in each length was manufactured using our overseas production facility as a test run to allow our customer to test the parts in their mold application prior to a full production run.  Due to the small quantities involved, the parts were machined rather than cold or hot headed.  The machining process is much faster because it avoids lengthy and costly tooling and machinery set up, which would not be cost effective for a small run.

316 stainless steel material was used and the parts were made to a standard DIN 6921 specification.  Once this small quantity is tested and approved the full production run will use cold heading manufacturing process to form the hex flange head.
