We supplied our customer these low profile hex socket drive “hurricane bolts” in three different lengths: 1/4-20 X 45MM, 1/4-20 X 30MM, and 1/4-20 X 70MM. 18-8 stainless steel material was used on all lengths with commercial passivation. The rolled thread length was set to 20MM and remained the same on all three options, with the balance being unthreaded shoulder. Full certs were provided with the parts per customer requirements.

These custom socket head screws were manufactured to our customer’s drawing with a long length of 289MM under the head, with half of the length threaded with rolled thread. The screws were made to class 8.8 specification with a standard hex socket drive and coarse M6 diameter thread. Material certs were available with the parts per our customer requirements.

These custom stainless steel shoulder bolts were manufactured in 18-8 stainless steel material for our drone manufacturing customer. M3 X 0.5MM thread was rolled with a thread relief machined below the 4MM X 5MM shoulder. A 2MM hex drive was broached at the head and a precision machined profile was incorporated on the head to meet drawing requirements.

These custom torx drive socket head bolts were manufactured using class 10.9 steel material with a cold formed head and T20 drive combined with rolled partial 10-32 thread. Overall length under the head was set to 1.125″ +/-.01″ and commercial black oxide finish was processed to complete the parts for our customer’s use. Full certs were provided with the parts.

Custom custom Inconel 718 double thread offset studs were manufactured for our aerospace customer. The offset head, double thread, and hardness of material made these parts extremely difficult to manufacture. The head radius measured .203″ and a combination of 5/16-24 2A and 1/4-28 2A thread was cut to a length of .842″. Definitely one of the toughest parts we have dealt with – the hardness of the material created countless issues with tool life. Full certs with FAIR were provided with the parts.

We provided our gun manufacturing customer these custom torx drive socket head bolts per print using 416 stainless steel material heat treated to HRC 36-44. Approximately 13.8MM of 1/4-28 2A thread was rolled on both the 34.31MM and 43.61MM overall length version we had manufactured and the unthreaded shoulder diameter was set to 6.35MM +.00/-.22MM. The head profile and countersink was customized to our customer’s specifications.

These custom tapered shoulder socket head bolts were manufactured using 4140 alloy steel material with 28-32 HRC hardness and zinc clear finish. The shoulder diameter tapers form 0.78″ down to 0.75″ and the head diameter was set to 1.00 +/-.015″. Underneath the shoulder approximately .55″ of 3/8-24 2A thread was rolled with thread relief allowance of roughly .085″.

These custom carriage bolts were produced to our customer’s drawing to class 10.9 characteristics with black oxide finish. Approximately 27MM of M10-1.5MM 6G thread was rolled underneath the square shoulder and a 3MM hole was drilled through one side of the shoulder. The square shoulder was produced to 10MM across the flats. Under the head a R45 radius was maintained to match the mating washer.

These custom stainless steel torx drive knurled shoulder screws were manufactured using 304 stainless steel material with factory passivated finish. The shoulder measured 2.29-2.48MM X 19.05 +/- .12MM. 2-56 UNC 2A thread was incorporated at a length of 5.56 +0/-.5MM. A T8 drive was cold formed and the outside of the head aggressively knurled for optimal finger grip. A 180 degree nylon thread lock patch was applied over the threads to complete the production process.

We had these custom automotive 12-point flange bolts manufactured in grade 8 material (4140 alloy steel) with both low head and high head options. 1/2-13 2A thread was rolled on both version slightly undersized to allow for coating thickness of the Geomet zinc flake + top coat and black sealant. Prior versions of the bolts our automotive customer used were experiencing failures from the hydrogen embrittlement resulting from the use of black zinc electroplating – black Geomet zinc flake coating was used to eliminate this risk and increase corrosion resistance at the same time.
